Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into between you and CrackTheStacks, operated from France ("us", "we", or "our"), for the use of our website and training tools tailored for quantitative and machine learning/AI interview preparation (the "Services"). By accessing our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the most recent version of these Terms.

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. If we do, we will post the modified Terms on this page and update the "last updated" date above. You agree to periodically check this page for updates to these Terms. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any modifications thereto. If you object to any changes, your sole recourse is to cease use of the Services.

1. The Services

CrackTheStacks provides a library of practice questions, worked solutions, and practice tools for quantitative and machine learning/AI interview preparation. Some content is free; the rest requires an active paid subscription. By using the Services, you agree that you are authorized to use them and are using them for your own, personal benefit.

We have the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate any account or activity where we believe it violates these Terms or any applicable law. You may or may not be notified of the termination at our discretion.

2. Content and intellectual property

"Content" means all software, text, questions, solutions, images, and other material made available through the Services. Unless otherwise specified in writing, all Content is owned, controlled, or licensed by us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Content for your own personal interview preparation, for as long as your account remains in good standing. You agree not to copy, redistribute, publish, resell, or otherwise exploit any Content outside of that personal use.

If you submit, post, or display any content through the Services (for example, feedback or community contributions), you represent and warrant that it does not infringe or violate the copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other rights of any third party.

3. Accounts

You may be required to register an account to use the Services. You agree that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you agree to keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Billing and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) until cancelled. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your full card number or other sensitive payment credentials, and we accept no liability for the security of that information beyond our use of a reputable processor.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You must cancel before your renewal date to avoid being billed for the next period. You will keep access through the end of your current billing period. Except where required by law, we do not offer prorated or partial refunds for unused time in a billing period.

5. Acceptable use

Content is for your own personal interview preparation. You agree not to scrape, redistribute, resell, or share paywalled content or account access with anyone outside your own subscription, and not to use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or interferes with the operation of the Services.

6. No guarantee of outcomes

CrackTheStacks is a practice and preparation tool. It does not guarantee an interview offer, a job, or any specific outcome. Use of the Services is at your own risk. The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrackTheStacks and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

8. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. However, by subscribing to the Services, you expressly request that access begin immediately and acknowledge that, once you have started using the digital content or service (for example, by viewing a paywalled question or solution), you lose your right of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection law.

9. Dispute resolution

If you have a concern or dispute, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also have the right to refer a dispute to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or to a competent consumer mediator, without prejudice to your right to bring a claim before the competent courts.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply in your place of residence, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date on this page, and your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
